The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

एवंरूपमहं जालं भावयन्यत्तदास्थितः ।
तदहंकार इत्यद्य कथ्यते त्वादृशैर्जनैः ॥ ३५ ॥

evaṃrūpamahaṃ jālaṃ bhāvayanyattadāsthitaḥ |
tadahaṃkāra ityadya kathyate tvādṛśairjanaiḥ || 35 ||

As I remained ensnared in the net of my senses, and considered myself a sensible being; I felt my egoism in me, as that with which I am now addressing to you.
