The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.87.3

ऊर्ध्वमुच्छून एवान्तःसेकाद्बीजे यथाङ्कुरः ।
आकारवत्यनाकारे चित्त्वाचित्त्वे तथा जगत् ॥ ३ ॥

ūrdhvamucchūna evāntaḥsekādbīje yathāṅkuraḥ |
ākāravatyanākāre cittvācittve tathā jagat || 3 ||

I beheld the formal world, with all its sentient as well as insensitive beings, rising out of the formless heart, resembling the shapeless embryo of the seed (i.e. the plastic nature from the amorphous spirit), by moisture of the ground.
