The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

तैरेव केचिज्जायन्ते भूयोभूयः शरीरिणः ।
अर्धैस्तैः सदृशाः केचित्केचित्पादेन तैः समाः ॥ ५७ ॥

taireva kecijjāyante bhūyobhūyaḥ śarīriṇaḥ |
ardhaistaiḥ sadṛśāḥ kecitkecitpādena taiḥ samāḥ || 57 ||

All beings are born, with every one of these properties at their very birth; but some possess them in equal or more or less shares, in comparison with others. (That some are and must be greater.
