The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीवसिष्ठ उवाच ।
सा राम प्रकृतिः प्रोक्ता शिवेच्छा पारमेश्वरी ।
जगन्मायेति विख्याता स्पन्दशक्तिरकृत्रिमा ॥ १४ ॥
śrīvasiṣṭha uvāca |
sā rāma prakṛtiḥ proktā śivecchā pārameśvarī |
jaganmāyeti vikhyātā spandaśaktirakṛtrimā || 14 ||
Vasishtha replied:—Know Rama, the Goddess Siva to be the will of the God Siva; she is styled as nature, and famed as the great Illusion of the word.
