The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.84.23

शिवत्वाव्यतिरेकेण शिवतैवं विदृश्यताम् ।
यथाङ्ग शून्यता व्योम्नः स्पन्दनं मातरिश्वनः ॥ २३ ॥

śivatvāvyatirekeṇa śivataivaṃ vidṛśyatām |
yathāṅga śūnyatā vyomnaḥ spandanaṃ mātariśvanaḥ || 23 ||

Know this ever oscillating power to be never different or unconnected, from the quiescent spirit of Siva the changeless god; nor think the fluctuating winds to be ever apart from the calm vacuum, in which they abide and vibrate for ever.
