The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

वाच्यवाचकसंबन्धं विना बोधो न जायते ।
यस्मात्तस्मात्त्वयि मया दृष्टमेव प्रवर्णितम् ॥ ६ ॥
vācyavācakasaṃbandhaṃ vinā bodho na jāyate |
yasmāttasmāttvayi mayā dṛṣṭameva pravarṇitam || 6 ||
