The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

श्रीराम उवाच ।
ब्रह्मन्ब्रह्माण्डखण्डे ते तिष्ठतः कथमुच्यताम् ।
किमाकृती धृते केन कथं वा परिनश्यतः ॥ ५५ ॥

śrīrāma uvāca |
brahmanbrahmāṇḍakhaṇḍe te tiṣṭhataḥ kathamucyatām |
kimākṛtī dhṛte kena kathaṃ vā parinaśyataḥ || 55 ||

Rama rejoined:—Tell me sir, how do the parts of the world subsist together; in what manner they are joined with one another, and how are they disjoined from one another, and destroyed at last.
