The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

देहकारणकः स्वप्नो देहाभावान्न दृश्यते ।
इति चेत्तददेहानां परलोकोऽपि नास्ति च ॥ १८ ॥

dehakāraṇakaḥ svapno dehābhāvānna dṛśyate |
iti cettadadehānāṃ paraloko'pi nāsti ca || 18 ||

What is the cause of the corporeal body? Not the dream; since the bodies seen in a dream, are invisible (to the naked eye); and this being true it follows, that there is no solid body in the next world.
