The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.76.4

दिवि वा विद्यमानायां विशीर्णे सर्गवर्गके ।
लोके व्योमगतालोके शोकौकसि ककुब्गणे ॥ ४ ॥

divi vā vidyamānāyāṃ viśīrṇe sargavargake |
loke vyomagatāloke śokaukasi kakubgaṇe || 4 ||

The heaven disappeared into nothing, and the whole creation vanished into the air. The worlds were reduced to vacuum, and the solar light dwindled to that of a star in the starry sphere.
