The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भूतले भूतलेशांशवर्जिते वह्निभर्जिते ।
पातालमपि पाताले गते किमपि कालतः ॥ ३ ॥

bhūtale bhūtaleśāṃśavarjite vahnibharjite |
pātālamapi pātāle gate kimapi kālataḥ || 3 ||

The earth being fried by the fire, went under the overflowing waters; and joined with the infernal regions, lying below the waters of the deep.
