The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

भूतलोकपुरापातस्फुटच्चटचटोद्भटम् ।
ताराविशरणोद्धातघृष्टरत्नधरातलम् ॥ १८ ॥
bhūtalokapurāpātasphuṭaccaṭacaṭodbhaṭam |
tārāviśaraṇoddhātaghṛṣṭaratnadharātalam || 18 ||
The falling of cities upon men and beasts, made a hideous noise and huge heaps of omnium gatherum on earth; and the falling stars from heaven, strewed the earth with fragments of gems and jewels.
