The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

दृढहस्ततलाघातहतकन्दुकवन्नभः ।
अपश्यं गगनस्थोऽहमुदितं चण्डतेजसम् ॥ १२ ॥

dṛḍhahastatalāghātahatakandukavannabhaḥ |
apaśyaṃ gaganastho'hamuditaṃ caṇḍatejasam || 12 ||

I beheld the heavenly bodies hurling as tops, flung from the string held by a mighty hand; and I saw from my aerial seat, the rising of the blazing suns in heaven.
