The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

द्वितीयमर्कं मध्याह्ने पश्चादभ्युदितं स्फुटम् ।
दिग्दाहमिव दिग्वक्रे वनदाहमिवाचले ॥ २ ॥

dvitīyamarkaṃ madhyāhne paścādabhyuditaṃ sphuṭam |
digdāhamiva digvakre vanadāhamivācale || 2 ||

It being then midday, I beheld a secondary sun behind me, appearing as a conflagration over a mountain (or a burning mountain), at the furthest border of that side.
