The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

जलैश्चलचलायन्ती सुषिरानेकरन्ध्रिका ।
भूरन्तर्मण्डली लोला समुद्रद्वीपवेष्टना ॥ ११ ॥

bhūrantarmaṇḍalī lolā samudradvīpaveṣṭanā || 11 ||

The great basin of water in the midst of the earth, and surrounding the islands in the midst of them; is as the navel and its pit in the centre of the body of Virat.
