The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.73.33

संकल्पनामुपादत्ते स्वदेहे गगनाकृतिः ।
शिरःशब्दार्थदां कांचित्पादशब्दार्थदां क्वचित् ॥ ३३ ॥

saṃkalpanāmupādatte svadehe gaganākṛtiḥ |
śiraḥśabdārthadāṃ kāṃcitpādaśabdārthadāṃ kvacit || 33 ||

It then takes upon itself and of its own will, a form reaching to the skies; to which it applied to the sense of the word head to some part, and that of the word feet to another.
