The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

ततश्चिद्भाव एषोऽन्तरेक एव द्वितामिव ।
पश्यन्स्वरूप एवास्ते द्रष्टृदृश्यमिव स्थितः ॥ १५ ॥

tataścidbhāva eṣo'ntareka eva dvitāmiva |
paśyansvarūpa evāste draṣṭṛdṛśyamiva sthitaḥ || 15 ||

Hence it is the nature of the intellect, to see its unity as a duality within itself; and to remain of its own nature, as both the subjective and objective by itself.
