The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

बन्धमोक्षजगद्बुद्धिर्न शून्या नापि सन्मयी ।
नास्तमेति न चोदेति किमप्याद्यमसौ किल ॥ १ ॥

bandhamokṣajagadbuddhirna śūnyā nāpi sanmayī |
nāstameti na codeti kimapyādyamasau kila || 1 ||

Rama said:—Sir, you have said at length regarding our bondage and liberation, and our knowledge of the world as neither a reality nor an unreality also; and that it neither rises nor sets, but is always existent as at first and ever before.
