The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथाभूतपरिज्ञानादत्र शाम्यति वासना ।
अद्वैतान्निरहंकारात्ततो मोक्षोऽवशिष्यते ॥ २२ ॥

yathābhūtaparijñānādatra śāmyati vāsanā |
advaitānnirahaṃkārāttato mokṣo'vaśiṣyate || 22 ||

By knowledge of the real truth, we get rid of our desires, as it is by our knowledge of the unity and the absence of our egoism or personality, that we obtain our liberation.
