The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

प्रभ्रमन्त्योऽम्बरे कल्पमारुतैस्तनुतूलवत् ।
स्वशक्त्यपचये मूकाः सिद्धसंततयोऽपतन् ॥ ७ ॥

prabhramantyo'mbare kalpamārutaistanutūlavat |
svaśaktyapacaye mūkāḥ siddhasaṃtatayo'patan || 7 ||

The world-destroying winds were winding in the air, like the thin and flying scraps of cotton; and then the siddhas fell down mute from heaven, after the loss of their strength and power of speech.
