The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पांसुप्रमन्दनीहारधूलिधूसरसूर्यका ।
द्वन्द्विमूर्खमहादुःखिव्यसनिव्याधिताकुला ॥ १२ ॥

pāṃsupramandanīhāradhūlidhūsarasūryakā |
dvandvimūrkhamahāduḥkhivyasanivyādhitākulā || 12 ||

The sun was obscured by mist and frost, resembling gusts of ashes and dust; and the people were greatly and equally afflicted by the excess of heat and cold, the two opposites which they knew not how to prevent.
