The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अभ्यासभासोऽभिमतं वस्तु प्रकटयन्त्यलम् ।
प्रापयन्ति च निर्विघ्नं घटं दीपप्रभा यथा ॥ ३८ ॥

abhyāsabhāso'bhimataṃ vastu prakaṭayantyalam |
prāpayanti ca nirvighnaṃ ghaṭaṃ dīpaprabhā yathā || 38 ||

Practice is the light, that leads one in the path of his desired object; just as the light of the lamp shows the place, where the lost pot or cloth lies in the room.
