The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

अभूद्यत्स्वजगत्पूर्वमतिप्रकटमेव मे ।
तत्पश्यामीदमादर्श इव बिम्बितमस्फुटम् ॥ १८ ॥

tatpaśyāmīdamādarśa iva bimbitamasphuṭam || 18 ||

The world that appeared before so conspicuous to my sight, I find it now appearing as indistinct to me as a shadow of the same cast upon a glass.
