Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.65.5

हता नीरसनाथा स्त्री हताऽसंस्कारिणी च धीः ।
हता दुर्जनभुक्ता श्रीर्हता वेश्याहृता च ह्रीः ॥ ५ ॥

hatā nīrasanāthā strī hatā'saṃskāriṇī ca dhīḥ |
hatā durjanabhuktā śrīrhatā veśyāhṛtā ca hrīḥ || 5 ||

A woman is given for lost, who has not a sweet and lovely spouse; as the understanding is lost which is not fraught with learning. In vain is prosperity when she favours the wicked, and in vain is a woman that is lost to shame.
