The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

शृणु तेन कथं ब्रह्मन्भार्याहं समुपार्जिता ।
कथं वृद्धिमयं यातः स्नेहोऽस्माकमकृत्रिमः ॥ ४४ ॥

śṛṇu tena kathaṃ brahmanbhāryāhaṃ samupārjitā |
kathaṃ vṛddhimayaṃ yātaḥ sneho'smākamakṛtrimaḥ || 44 ||

Hear now, O sage, how I became his wife, and how there grew an unfeigned affection between us.
