The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पाषाणसंकटे तस्मिन्बद्धावावां न केवलम् ।
बद्धो यावदशेषेण परिवारोऽपि तत्र नौ ॥ ४० ॥

pāṣāṇasaṃkaṭe tasminbaddhāvāvāṃ na kevalam |
baddho yāvadaśeṣeṇa parivāro'pi tatra nau || 40 ||

But sir, it is not only ourselves that are confined in this stony prison-house; but all our family, friends and dependants, are enthralled in the same stronghold and to no end.
