The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विधिना तत्र बद्धास्मि वसाम्युपलयन्त्रके ।
अत्रासंख्या मुने याता मन्ये युगगणा मम ॥ ३६ ॥

vidhinā tatra baddhāsmi vasāmyupalayantrake |
atrāsaṃkhyā mune yātā manye yugagaṇā mama || 36 ||

There I am confined, O sage, in that stony prison-house; and there methinks I have passed a series of yuga ages.
