The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

रूपालोकमनस्कारैः स्वप्ने चिन्नभ एव ते ।
यथोदेति तथा तत्र तद्दृश्यं खात्मकं स्थितम् ॥ २४ ॥

rūpālokamanaskāraiḥ svapne cinnabha eva te |
yathodeti tathā tatra taddṛśyaṃ khātmakaṃ sthitam || 24 ||

The sight of a thing and the thought of any thing, depend on the aerial intellect, as they do in our aerial dream; and these are impressed in the hollowness of the intellect, both in the waking as well as dreaming states.
