The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.60.36

तेषु नामानुभूयन्ते जगल्लक्षेषु तत्र वै ।
उष्णानि चन्द्रबिम्बानि सूर्याः शीतलमूर्तयः ॥ ३६ ॥

teṣu nāmānubhūyante jagallakṣeṣu tatra vai |
uṣṇāni candrabimbāni sūryāḥ śītalamūrtayaḥ || 36 ||

It is by that light, that these thousands of worlds appear to view; and that we have the notion of heat in the lunar disk, and of cold in the solar orb.
