The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

चिन्तयित्वेत्यहं त्यक्तुं देहं पद्मासनस्थितः ।
आसं समाधिमाधातुं पुनरामीलितेक्षणः ॥ १२ ॥

cintayitvetyahaṃ tyaktuṃ dehaṃ padmāsanasthitaḥ |
āsaṃ samādhimādhātuṃ punarāmīlitekṣaṇaḥ || 12 ||

Thinking so, I was about to forsake my material frame, by sitting in my posture of Padmasana, and betaking myself to my samadhi or intense meditation, and shut my eyes closely against all external sights.
