The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

किल सत्यामविद्यायामज्ञतोदेति शाश्वती ।
बुद्धिमोहात्मिका यक्षी निर्देहैव यथा निशि ॥ ७ ॥

kila satyāmavidyāyāmajñatodeti śāśvatī |
buddhimohātmikā yakṣī nirdehaiva yathā niśi || 7 ||

Granting the existence of ignorance, in absence of the advance of knowledge and reason; yet it is at best but a fiend of delusion, and is as shapeless as the darkest night.
