The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.53.8

केवलं शान्तमत्यच्छमाद्यन्तपरिवर्जितम् ।
तद्विद्यते यत्र किल खमपि स्थूलमश्मवत् ॥ ८ ॥

kevalaṃ śāntamatyacchamādyantaparivarjitam |
tadvidyate yatra kila khamapi sthūlamaśmavat || 8 ||

The original cause is quite transparent and tranquil, and having neither its beginning nor end, and the subtile ether itself is dense and solid, in comparison with the rarity of the other.
