The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

यथास्थितं स्थिताः सर्वे भावास्तत्र यथा तथा ।
अनुत्कीर्णा महास्तम्भे विविधाः शालभञ्जिकाः ॥ ३३ ॥

yathāsthitaṃ sthitāḥ sarve bhāvāstatra yathā tathā |
anutkīrṇā mahāstambhe vividhāḥ śālabhañjikāḥ || 33 ||

It is said there, that all beings are situated in their common receptacle of the great Brahma; as the unprojected figures are exhibited in relief, upon a massive stony pillar.
