The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.50.16

संकल्प एव जाग्रत्त्वं येषां चिरतयांशतः ।
तत्रास्तमितचेष्टानां ते हि संकल्पजागराः ॥ १६ ॥

saṃkalpa eva jāgrattvaṃ yeṣāṃ ciratayāṃśataḥ |
tatrāstamitaceṣṭānāṃ te hi saṃkalpajāgarāḥ || 16 ||

So also are they whose desires have been partly awake from before, and have gradually engrossed all the other better endeavours of their possessors, are likewise said to be wakeful to their desires.
