The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

सुहृत्केलिविलासेषु शुभोद्यानाशनादिषु ।
शास्त्रतर्कविचारेषु न तथा स्थीयते चिरम् ॥ ७ ॥

suhṛtkelivilāseṣu śubhodyānāśanādiṣu |
śāstratarkavicāreṣu na tathā sthīyate ciram || 7 ||

But he is not in love with any place, nor dwells secure in any state whether it be the company of friends in a pleasure garden, or in learned discussions in the assembly of scholars.
