The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.47.24

स्वा एवोपहसत्यन्तस्तरुणीस्तरलक्रियाः ।
खेदस्मेरमुखो जातीर्जातिस्मर इवाधमः ॥ २४ ॥

svā evopahasatyantastaruṇīstaralakriyāḥ |
khedasmeramukho jātīrjātismara ivādhamaḥ || 24 ||

Any one may laugh at his prior acts, if he will come to know what he was and he is; as a low chandal by being jatismara, laughs in disgust in making comparison of his past birth with that of the present.
