The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मन्दाकिनीपयांसीव संगतानि विवेकिनाम् ।
प्रक्षालयन्ति पापानि प्रयच्छन्ति विशुद्धताम् ॥ १० ॥

mandākinīpayāṃsīva saṃgatāni vivekinām |
prakṣālayanti pāpāni prayacchanti viśuddhatām || 10 ||

The society of holy and wise men, like the pure waters of the heavenly river, serve to cleanse the sins and purify the minds of the sinful.
