The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.46.16

दृढं विषयवैरस्यमेव ध्यानमुदाहृतम् ।
तदेव परिपाकेन वज्रसारं भवत्यलम् ॥ १६ ॥

dṛḍhaṃ viṣayavairasyameva dhyānamudāhṛtam |
tadeva paripākena vajrasāraṃ bhavatyalam || 16 ||

It is a settled distaste to the objects of sense, that constitutes the pith and marrow of meditativeness; and the maturity of this habit, makes a man as compact as adamant.
