The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

उन्मत्तचेष्टिताकारा हसत्यपि पुरोगताः ।
तरङ्गभङ्गुराधाराः संसारसरितो गतीः ॥ १६ ॥

unmattaceṣṭitākārā hasatyapi purogatāḥ |
taraṅgabhaṅgurādhārāḥ saṃsārasarito gatīḥ || 16 ||

The course of the world is as that of a rapid river, running onward with its furious and mischievous current; and laughing with its frothy breakers, now swelling highland then sinking at once.
