The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

पुत्रदारसमग्राणि मित्राणि च धनानि च ।
जन्मान्तरकृतानीव स्वप्नजानीव पश्यति ॥ १४ ॥

putradārasamagrāṇi mitrāṇi ca dhanāni ca |
janmāntarakṛtānīva svapnajānīva paśyati || 14 ||

Thence he looks down upon the family and friends, and upon the wealth and property (he has left behind); as if they were the adjuncts of former life, or as visions in his dream.
