The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.45.4

आरोहति नरो वृक्षं तदास्वादयितुं फलम् ।
अन्यवर्गपरित्यागो वितताध्यवसायवान् ॥ ४ ॥

ārohati naro vṛkṣaṃ tadāsvādayituṃ phalam |
anyavargaparityāgo vitatādhyavasāyavān || 4 ||

It sees people climbing in this tree, with great persistence and pains; in order to taste these sweet fruits in preference to all others.
