The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

विषयाजगरोदारविषफूत्कारमूर्च्छितः ।
कामुकः कामिनीभूमौ रसात्प्रायो विपोथितः ॥ ४२ ॥

viṣayājagarodāraviṣaphūtkāramūrcchitaḥ |
kāmukaḥ kāminībhūmau rasātprāyo vipothitaḥ || 42 ||

There is again the huge snake of worldly affairs, which benumbs it with its poisonous breath; and so do the fairies on the face of the earth, serve to enslave the mind in love to them.
