The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.44.12

पश्चात्स्थिताशाविहगान्परप्रणयपक्षिणः ।
अस्मादापततः कामगर्वगृध्रान्निवारयेत् ॥ १२ ॥

paścātsthitāśāvihagānparapraṇayapakṣiṇaḥ |
asmādāpatataḥ kāmagarvagṛdhrānnivārayet || 12 ||

He should then keep off the aerial birds of his expectations and the fowls of his affection for others, and the vultures of his desire and cupidity, from darting upon and picking up the seed.
