The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

स्वचित्तभूमौ पतितं परिज्ञाय महाधिया ।
बीजं संसारनिर्वेदो रक्ष्यं ध्यानस्य यत्नतः ॥ ९ ॥
svacittabhūmau patitaṃ parijñāya mahādhiyā |
bījaṃ saṃsāranirvedo rakṣyaṃ dhyānasya yatnataḥ || 9 ||
When the magnanimous soul, perceives the seed of contrite reflection fallen in the mind; he must try to preserve and foster the same with all diligence.
