The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.44.3

यथाकथंचिदुदितं दुःखेन स्वयमेव च ।
संसारवननिर्वेदं बीजमस्य विदुर्बुधाः ॥ ३ ॥

yathākathaṃciduditaṃ duḥkhena svayameva ca |
saṃsāravananirvedaṃ bījamasya vidurbudhāḥ || 3 ||

The learned say, that it is some how or other, either by culture or its own spontaneity, that there grows a dissatisfaction with the wilderness of this world, in the heart of the reasonable man.
