The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

येन केनचिदज्ञत्वात्कृतार्थोऽस्मीति मन्यते ।
अकृतार्थः कृतार्थत्वं जानन्मौर्ख्यविमोहितः ॥ ४९ ॥

yena kenacidajñatvātkṛtārtho'smīti manyate |
akṛtārthaḥ kṛtārthatvaṃ jānanmaurkhyavimohitaḥ || 49 ||

The ignorant man who thinks himself wise in his own conceit, is deluded to greater ignorance, by thinking himself successful with his ill success.
