The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

मिथ्या लोकस्य कचतो भ्रान्त्या मरणजन्मनी ।
असत्यपि भ्रान्तिभाजि मृगतृष्णानदीतटे ॥ २९ ॥

mithyā lokasya kacato bhrāntyā maraṇajanmanī |
asatyapi bhrāntibhāji mṛgatṛṣṇānadītaṭe || 29 ||

In vain do men think of their life and death, in this world of nullity; neither of them is anything in reality, but as false as the flowing and ebbing of waters in the mirage of life.
