The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.38.15

जगत्तया शान्ततया ब्रह्मसत्तावतिष्ठते ।
पुंस्तया गत एवात्मा रेतोवटकबीजयोः ॥ १५ ॥

jagattayā śāntatayā brahmasattāvatiṣṭhate |
puṃstayā gata evātmā retovaṭakabījayoḥ || 15 ||

The essence of Brahma exists and exhibits itself in the form of the quiescent universe, and is personified as the male agent of creation, by his seminal seed resembling the minute seed of a fig fruit.
