The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.37.27

विरक्ततास्य नो दृश्ये नोदेत्यत्रास्य रक्तता ।
केवलं द्रष्टृदृश्यश्रीः स्वदते न स्वभावतः ॥ २७ ॥

viraktatāsya no dṛśye nodetyatrāsya raktatā |
kevalaṃ draṣṭṛdṛśyaśrīḥ svadate na svabhāvataḥ || 27 ||

The wise man is neither fond of, nor averse to the sight of the phenomenals; he views the beauties of nature (lit. of the visibles), as they appear before him, without relishing (or delighting) in them of his own nature.
