Yoga Vasistha [sanskrit]

223,437 words | ISBN-10: 8171101519

The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.35.9

अविभागं विभागीव निर्जाड्यं जडवद्गतम् ।
अचेत्यं चेत्यभावीव निरंशं सांशशोभनम् ॥ ९ ॥

avibhāgaṃ vibhāgīva nirjāḍyaṃ jaḍavadgatam |
acetyaṃ cetyabhāvīva niraṃśaṃ sāṃśaśobhanam || 9 ||

The indivisible appears as divided, and energy appearing as inertia;the unthinkable seems as the object of thought, and the unparted whole seeming to shine in innumerable parts.
