The Sanskrit edition of the Yoga-vasistha including English translation and grammatical analysis. The Yogavasistha is a Hindu spiritual text written by Valmiki (who also authored the Ramayana) dealing with the philosophical topics from the Advaita-vedanta school. Chronologically it precedes the Ramayana.

Verse 7.33.36

सतोऽपि मृन्मयस्येव यस्यासंवेदनात्मकम् ।
साहं जगद्विगलितं तमाहुर्मुनिसत्तमम् ॥ ३६ ॥

sato'pi mṛnmayasyeva yasyāsaṃvedanātmakam |
sāhaṃ jagadvigalitaṃ tamāhurmunisattamam || 36 ||

Who becomes inactive and inert as a clod of earth, even while he is alive; who becomes unconscious of himself and the outer world, and thinks of nothing (except the Supreme soul); he is said as the best of sages and saints.
